#CNRTW gear and accessories are now available for sale at http://brainiac.spreadshirt.com/ or by clicking here. For those that missed the song featuring my homie Parkay, check it out on my SoundCloud page or in the "Music" section of this site. #CNRTW (PG version: Chicago Negroes Rule the World) is a saying that was developed working with some the youth that I mentored at the Brainiac Project. Although some might deem this phrase a little risque, I think the power to succeed lies within children who have the strength to believe they can change the world. Kids who live in the inner city of Chicago often don't believe they can change the world but through the power of this music, I believe we can move mountains. This saying embodied taking a negative slang term and flipping it into a positive theme. All proceeds from the gear will benefit The Brainiac Project, a non-profit effort to build self-esteem, self efficacy and self concept in at-risk urban youth through the art of hip hop.

New song from Brain Power 2. Tape Drops 1/5/14.
It is always a blessing when friends, family and business can mix sensibly. My childhood associates, Autumn and Brian Merritt (Owners of Sir and Madame) have been carrying my sister Ayana's handbag line for quite some time. This Saturday at 2pm they are having a trunk show to showcase her line. Although I obviously don't normally attend handbag events, I definitely will be in attendance and it will be a great time for me to see Brian and Autumn's new Hyde Park location. Partake and peep the line at www.yanahandbags.com . |
